As a subcontractor to engineering firm, Burns & McDonnell, WSI was recently selected to provide 100% of NERC LiDAR Surveys for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)'s Priority 3 lines. In 2011-2012, WSI successfully collected and processed more than 5,800 miles of Priority One & Two circuits for PG&E. WSI CMO, Susan Jackson stated, “PG&E has been a valued client for several years and WSI is committed to our continued role in assisting with regulatory reporting and to the development of products that provide enterprise-wide utilization of the survey data.” WSI also provides other airborne remote sensing solutions to clients in the utilities industry, including engineering as-builts of of T&D for reconductoring and hydroelectric facilities, seismic and geological analysis, watershed delineations, vegetation mapping and characterization, and visualization tools.
